Private by design

The PDF is read by JavaScript on your device. There's no upload step, so there's nothing for us to store, leak or lose.

Verified, not guessed

Previous balance + amount = new balance, checked on every row. Anything that doesn't add up is highlighted for you.

Ready for your books

Download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo), OFX, Xero CSV or JSON. Merge several months into one file.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop in your PDF

Use the statement you downloaded from online banking. Password-protected? Enter the password — it stays on your device too.

  2. 2

    Check the result

Rowsafe finds the dates, descriptions and amounts, then reconciles every row against the running balance. Fix anything flagged right in the table.

  3. 3

    Download

Get a spreadsheet or an import file for QuickBooks, Xero or any app that reads OFX.

Works with: text-based PDF statements (the kind you download from online banking) — debit/credit columns, signed amounts, Dr/Cr markers, comma or dot decimals, day/month or month/day dates, newest-first or oldest-first.
Doesn't work with (yet): scanned or photographed statements. If your PDF is a scan, Rowsafe tells you instead of guessing.

Don't take our word for it. Check.

Most converters ask you to upload your statement to their servers. Rowsafe doesn't have an upload step at all — the converter is a web page that runs on your computer.

  • Open the converter, then switch off Wi-Fi. It still works.
  • Open your browser's developer tools → Network tab, convert a file, and watch: your PDF is never sent anywhere.
  • The converter page loads no analytics or advertising scripts.
  • Our servers only ever see a license key when you activate Pro — never statement data.

Questions

Is my statement really not uploaded?

Yes. The converter runs in your browser using JavaScript. There is no server that receives your file. You can confirm it by going offline after the page loads, or by watching the Network tab in your browser's developer tools.

Which banks does it work with?

Rowsafe doesn't rely on a list of bank templates. It reads the layout of the page — dates, descriptions and amount columns — so it works with most text-based PDF statements. The balance check tells you immediately whether the conversion is complete. If a layout doesn't work, you can still download the raw text table, and you can tell us about it so we can improve.

What about scanned statements?

Not supported yet. Scans are images with no text inside, so they need OCR. Rowsafe will tell you if your PDF is a scan rather than producing a wrong result. Downloading the statement again from online banking usually gives a text-based PDF.

My statement has a password.

That's fine. Rowsafe asks for it and uses it only to open the file on your device. It isn't stored or sent anywhere.

How do I get the file into QuickBooks or Xero?

Pro gives you a .qbo file for QuickBooks, an OFX file for most accounting apps, and a CSV in Xero's statement import format. Our guides walk through each import.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from the link in your receipt email; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If you're not happy in the first 14 days, email us for a full refund.

Who handles payment and tax?

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. It handles card details, invoices and sales tax/VAT. We never see your card.
